We’ve compiled a list of answers to common questions from our clients so you can learn more about our process and how we can help you achieve your home reno dreams.

Area Seven is fully licensed and insured.

Renovations can take anywhere from a few days to a few months to complete depending on the nature of the project. When we submit our estimates for client review, we include a detailed timeline for each task, and a general timeline for completion. Small kitchen renos can take a few days, but larger additions can take a few months. A few factors that play a role in this are drying time for plaster, paint curing time, permits, change orders, complications in the structure, etc...Area Seven is direct and upfront with our clients regarding what could possibly delay timelines during their project.

We handle all aspects of renovations whilst keeping the client informed and being open to input. See below a statement I put on each of our quotes. “Area7 Enterprises Inc. is to organize and execute all material, labor, and subcontractor requirements for your project from start to finish. Our goal as a company is to take any stress and responsibility away from our clients and ensure that their renovation goes as smoothly as possible. We hold ourselves to a high standard with our quality and professionalism and guarantee that your project will be custom to your liking.

Renovation cost can widely vary depending on the nature of the project. Smaller finish jobs can range from a few hundred to a few thousands, whilst larger renovations can range from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands. All depending on home in depth the home owner wants to get in regards to changes.

A statement we include in our quotes: “We pride ourselves in our services to our clients. We strive off three main principles: Fairness, Honesty, and Quality. Area Seven Inc. is a full renovation and consultation service, meaning we’re with you every step of the way. Your project is never set in stone until the day it is installed. Not sure how you feel about a certain aspect? Feel free to contact our Project Manager or our Designer for input. We’re here to help.” Changes can be made at any point in the renovation process, as long as the carpenters and management staff have been informed prior to installation.

Once we come across an unexpected issue, we first find a way to solve it where all parties benefit. When we have our solution, we consult with the client and explain the nature of the issue and how we plan on fixing it. We strive off transparency.

Payment can be made via e-transfer (up to a certain amount) or check. Accepted quotes require either a 10% or 20% deposit pending how much upfront cost Area Seven has to take on. Upon completion of the project, we preform a final walkthrough with our client to ensure everything is done to their liking. Half of the remaining balance is due upon completion; the other half is due no later than 7 days after the final walk-through.

Every renovation is backed by a 1 year warranty for any defects in installation.

Clients can prepare their home for renovations by removing any and all personal items from the work space, and ensuring the contractors have a clear entryway. Pets and children are to be kept away from the work site. Area Seven installs extensive dust and debris barriers in our clients’ homes and protects any finished or unaffected surfaces diligently. Throughout the renovation process you expect our company to be cognoscente of your needs and open to your questions or concerns. Renovations can be noisy, but we do our very best to ensure there is minimal disruption throughout your project.
